About the Job

Are you looking for new challenges? Then take the opportunity to apply for the position of fiber technician with us, where you will work with new production, operations, and maintenance tasks.

Main Responsibilities

The Planning Department at GavleNet is responsible for building and maintaining the business area's facilities and currently consists of fiber technicians, team leaders, and project engineers.

In your role as a fiber technician, you will perform installation, operation, and maintenance. Typical tasks include installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic networks. This means that a significant part of your daily work will involve interacting with customers, and it is important to have a service-oriented personality.

You will work within existing operational systems for documentation and registration. You will also participate in projects, new constructions, and renovations of facilities.

On-call duty may occur.

Qualifications and Attributes

We are looking for someone with a technical education at least at the high school level and a vocational education as a fiber technician or equivalent experience where you have previously worked as a fiber technician. If you are a trained electrician and interested in changing your focus, that opportunity is also available.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where you are driven to develop and work within the industry. You are service-oriented, have good collaboration skills, and work well both independently and in a team.

A valid driver's license (B) is required. You will be provided with a BE driver's license if you do not already have one.

Vocational education as a fiber technician is considered an advantage.
